for anyone who plays battlefield 2142
what is going on with this game? first i win the infiltrator pin THREE times, and it doesnt show up in my awards, then i have collected at least 20 dogtags but it says i have collected 4 (of which 3 are unique...wrong again). Then, for a while, punkbuster would kick me off for no reason (thank god that stopped). My newest problem: i cant get more than 10 seconds (usually less) into a game without supposedly losing connection to the server. anyone got a fix for this?

Battlefield 2 had many bugs when it first came out.
Some went away and some persisted. I still like BF2, but haven't tried 2142.
I doubt I'll pick it up if EA can't release a PC game without it being properly tested though.

I totally loved BF2... but the multiplayer didn't work on my home PC.. I upgraded every single driver etc etc but I always got an infamous blue screen after 2 minutes which forced me to turn off the PC. Single player was working perfectly though... It worked fine on my bro's PC (nVidia while I have an ATI), so I'm still pissed at it for the waste of money. I will NOT buy BF21andsomething even if I'm sure I'd love it, I don't feel like trusting them again.

I'm attending a 16-man LAN party at a friend's house this upcoming Saturday for BF2142. Fortunately, we're getting the copies at a HUGE discount, so if it turns out to be a dud, I'm only out the cost of 3 starbucks coffee's

it's been working fine for me today. i love the new unlock system. it's definetely my favorite online shooter atm. the feeling i get when i dive in a trench while missiles are falling all around me and bullets are flying by, kicking up dirt all around me and dropping people all around me is so awesome.

I dont own it, but from what i've heard it monitors your web surfing habits and then places in-game ads based on the data it collects.

Hehe, wish I could, but my EA-contact probably maxed out his allowed number of purchases hooking everyone else up in that LAN party.
